Since 1990, the American Tortoise Rescue has been dedicated to the protection and preservation of all species of turtles. World Turtle Day is an opportunity for people worldwide to come together to raise awareness about the importance of these iconic creatures and the threats they face.

In 2023, World Turtle Day will be celebrated on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The ATR encourages people to use the hashtag #WorldTurtleDay to share photos, videos, and stories about turtles.
